Drive-By Shooting Kills Three

Three men were shot and killed yesterday afternoon, witnesses say. At about 4pm on Saturday, the men were walking back to Al-Geneina from Agura, a village about 25km to the east of Al-Geneina, where there is a weekly Saturday market. According to witnesses, a merchant and a butcher who currently reside in a refugee camp in the area, the victims were shot by an unspecified number of Janjaweed militia who fired from a passing Landrover.

Among the victims was Ibrahim Borma, age 35, who was from the Tama tribe. Two older men were also killed, though their names are unknown.
