Damanga participated in a rally in front of the Sudanese Embassy
Washington, D.C. - January 29, 2009: 1:00PM - 3:00 PM
This rally was in solidarity with Beja victims of the Eastern Sudan. This was the 5th anniversary commemorating the 29 Innocent victims from the Beja Tribe that were slaughtered in a cold blood by the Sudanese government security in the City of Port Sudan in the year 2005.
This was also a day to protest against the bombings currently taking place in Darfur by the Sudanese government against armless civilians.
The rally participants were Sudanese from various parts of Sudan such as Nuba mountains, Nubian of North, Beja, Manasir and Angasana, as well as Americans such as Ms. Faith McDonald and others.
