Civic Engagement Fair—In Service of a Nation—is being held by The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. The event will take place on September 21st from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Carnegie Institute for Science, 1530 P St., NW.
The Washington Center is a nonprofit educational organization that provides full-time internships and short-term academic seminars for college students from the U.S. and abroad; more than 1500 students a year participate in our programs. Civic Engagement is one of The Washington Center’s three pillars, along with leadership and professional development. The purpose of the September 21st event is to provide students with information on critical issues in public affairs, and with the tools to affect positive change at the local, national and global levels.
