Damanga attended Darfur interfaith network vigil at the chinese embassy

Washington, D.C.
February 15, 2009

PLEASE JOIN  DARFUR INTERFAITH NETWORK ON SUNDAY,  FEBRUARY 15TH
for a Community Vigil at the Embassy of China to protest the killing, rape, torture, and displacement of civilians in the Darfur region of Sudan.

China continues to underwrite the genocide in Darfur. China is a major supplier of weapons to Sudan, providing an estimated 90 percent of the small arms Khartoum has purchased since 2004—despite a U.N. arms embargo that Sudan openly refuses to abide by. Help us raise awareness and call on China to stop the flow of arms to the government in Khartoum.

Sunday, February 15, 2009
1:00-2:00 p.m.
Chinese Embassy, Washington, DC
2300 Connecticut Avenue, N.W.
Washington D.C., 20008
