Man Beaten to Death By Janjaweed inside Kernang Refugee Camp

A man was beaten to death inside Kernang refugee camp by three attackers, witnesses say. Two refugees living inside Kernang, a refugee camp east of Al-Geneina, reported seeing three men from the local janjaweed militia attack the man at approximately 9 PM local time on March 1. The assailants then loaded the lifeless body of the victim into a vehicle and drove out of the camp.
The victim was estimated to be 40 years old, but his name is unknown.
Kernang, also known as Kringing, is a large refugee camp, with an estimated population of 20,000 refugees, located approximately 5 kilometers east of Al-Geneina.
